a little history

Zach picked up the saxophone at age 7 and has been honing his craft ever since.  In high school he studied extensively at Lagond Music School with talented and inspiring saxophonists like Jon Irabagon and Charlie Lagond.  He continued on to Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music, under the mentorship of Professors Frank Kirchner, Denis Solee, Lars Mlekusch (during a semester in Vienna) and Dr. Brian Utley.

Graduating with a degree in classical saxophone, Zach spent three years performing at sea on Royal Caribbean and Norwegian cruise lines.  In 2016, he settled home in New York and built a strong network within the NYC music community, moving back to Nashville in 2018 where he is currently based.

Zach is totally bringin’ Saxy back!  Well, thru the tender reeds, I should say...🎶😎🌠 ~can’t wait to get him on another track!
— T. Pastor, Songwriter
Zach was a consummate professional. We enjoyed having him as part of the band. He is a great musician and very easy to work with.
— M. Fakki, Artist Manager
Zach was great to work with! He was incredibly responsive, which made me feel confident he would be on time and professional, both things he definitely was. He was warm and welcoming with the couple getting married at a very small ceremony in Central Park, and planned music that allowed me to focus on other things. He made the morning incredibly special. Would absolutely work with him again!
— F. Civitano, Wedding Planner
He was on time, very nice, and amazingly talented! I would use him again!
— A. VanClief, Bride
